Single Parenthood

Posted June 15, 2026

Single parenthood can feel overwhelming at times. The responsibilities are endless, and there are moments when you may wonder how you will make it through another day (Philippians 4:13). I remember always feeling overwhelmed, drained, lonely, full of despair and sometimes fearful. The more I prayed the less I felt alone. I am here to tell you; on this journey you are not alone. It is imperative to have God in your life. If you do not know Christ, I encourage you to begin a personal relationship with Him. You are in a position that requires a new you whether you know it or not. It is up to you to set a solid foundation for your child(ren) (1 Corinthians 3:11).

Leadership is important because you are the example your child(ren) will emulate. Leadership begins with becoming a follower of Christ. Show your child what love, integrity and faith looks like through the actions of Christ. I beg you to give all your worries and cares to Jesus (1 Peter 5:7). God has a special compassion for those carrying the weight of parenting alone.
